Singhara Atte ki Puri

This particular recipe is made during “vrat” (fasting) in Bihar on occasions like ‘Janmastami’, or ‘Navratri’. In Bihar people are not supposed to have ' Anna' (Food grain). As such during fast they prepare verities of non-grain food made up of “Singhara ka atta” (flour made from water chest nut).  Generally they prepare “Puri” or “Halwa” using “Singhara ke atta”. It is very common in Bihar especially in Mithila.
